I really like the extended vertical field on this piece. It adds to the feeling of solitude. I like the cathedral-like arches of the tree limbs creating a feeling of sanctity. The fading vanishing point/ depth established by the fog is excellent in evoking the quiet of walking in the snow. The solitary figure adds not only human interest, but a scale that extends the field without stunting it. It could be almost any time of day from an hour before sunrise to a couple after. You can almost feel that cold humidity in your bones that you get on those foggy days about 32 degrees. Thought provoking. there should be a haiku. Excellent job.
To be honest with you, I think this deserves a DD more than the one you already got a DD on. I love the sense of scale, and isolation, that the one person between all these trees gives off. I like the hazy, wintery glaze as well. The basically monochrome colors definitely help with that, too. Excellent shot.
