I don't know how the photographer has done it, but what should be a simple photograph of some snow and trees ends up looking like something out of a fairytale. What really captivates me about this piece is how the top half of the image looks so warm and summery, with the thick branches filled with green leaves; and the bottom half looks so cold and wintery, with the bright white snow laden with footprints. The trees in the foreground appear black, which beautifully sews both ends of the image together. I love the bright ray of light, highlighting the snow and flowers, and the angle is perfect, really capturing the walkway between the trees. The only thing that bothers me is the branch lying horizontally in the foreground, going against the grain of the rest of the image. All in all, a stunning piece of photography!
