In terms of vision, I wasn't sure how many inferences ladybugs on a stem could make but, I gotta be honest, this piece did make me think about these little guys and the plight they face as insects.
Definitely an original piece for me, I know that a single ladybug on a stem has been a little overdone but, here we have three all nomming on this delicious looking plant - you've gone beyond what we expect of insect macro shots by capturing your subjects in this way.
Technique I thought was superb, you clearly have a sound knowledge of what makes a great macro photograph. I love the use of negative space, and how the stem intersects the frame diagonally. Appropriate focus has been used to perfectly capture the bugs crisply, and I must say kudos on that one.
Impacts; I thought this was a nice refreshing change. It's certainly a dynamic piece, congratulations on a job very well done!
I like how all the ladybugs are climbing on top of each other to get some food!~ So cute!
I gave originality a 4.5 star because it's very common to find a picture of a lady bug on a stem or plant of some sort. But considering they are all eating and there is more than one, I gave you a little higher than I was going to. I like the technique. The angle is good, the focus looks very nice. You can REALLY see the vibrancy of each individual ladybug. The only bad thing I have to say is, there is a lot of green. BUT I'm not sure if you MADE the background or nature is just that way, but if you made it yourself, maybe a sky background would've been a little nicer. That way, the stem really juts out from the picture and the details would be a little more noticeable. That's it, though~ Now, don't take all of this seriously, I'm not a professional photographer, but I do have an eye for art~ Thanks for reading!
